Project Goals

1

1

Reduce call centre contact from users by creating a self serve app

2

2

Design Cultural guides to acclimatise US users to new overseas hospitals

3

Help orientate users before visiting overseas hospitals to reduce anxiety

4

Eleviate common issues to do with clarity & confirmation of treament plans

UI Approach

Creating a brand that calms the user and makes them confident in a new country was essesntial to make the user feel in control. A easy to use design system is needed but one that doesn't feel like a stark boiler plate. The interface should invoke a sense of well being to reflect the service.

Empathetic design

It was decided with the client at the concept phase to head the app with a virtual assistant character. This serves two benefits, one giving the MyCare app a strong brand identity. The second is to functionally convey information in a calm manner to. reduce anxiety and gain trust with the app.

Design System

UI elements are organised in a Figma design system. This helps developers and content creators to maintain a consistant UI pattern and brand identity. Utilising Figma keeps a centralised system that is easier to maintain and update, so it continues to live beyond the initial product launch.
